BodyBank is a web-based app emphasizing body economics. It assesses student learning of the 8 skills-based comprehensive health standards by measuring daily stress vs. daily energy. Instead of isolating one component of health, the app experience highlights a comprehensive view of wellness. BodyBank has shown to work in individual PE & Health classes & has driven whole school culture & climate.

BodyBank measures STRESS relating to people, money, internal feelings & thoughts, time management, & physical health.

BodyBank measures ENERGY through water consumption, sleep, nutritious food intake, physical activity, rest/mindfulness, sun exposure & personal hygiene.

Components of Health

Students log stresses and activities related to the seven components of health throughout the day. Their ‘Starting Balance’ is determined by the level of stress in the student’s life.
Positive components of health credit their BodyBank account.
Negative components of health deduct from their account.

Get 16

We have found that students who earn 16 or more energy dollars in a day also tend to achieve a positive BodyBank Account balance for that day. The NFL & National Dairy Council’s in-school nutrition and physical activity program encourages students to “Play 60.” We encourage students to “Get 16.

“Participation in physical education, recess, and classroom-based physical activity has a positive association with academic achievement, concentration, attention, on-task classroom behavior, cognitive skills, and attitude toward school.”
