SOCIAL STRESS

What is your stress level related to being around people today?

For example: Am I anxious about meeting with my principal today? Do I have a new friend that I’m excited to sit with at lunch? Am I afraid of running into that bully in the hallway? Are my girlfriend and I seeing the new Star Wars movie tonight? Did I get in a fight with my parents this morning? Do I have a strict boss at work?

FINANCIAL STRESS

What is your stress level related to spending, or thinking about, money today?

For example: Do I have enough lunch money today? Where am I going to find the money to help pay the bills at home? Did I work overtime last week and earn extra spending money? Did my car run out of gas and I spent my last $20 on that video game?

EMOTIONAL/MENTAL STRESS

What is your stress level related to personal feelings and thoughts today?

For example: Am I anxious about my math test today? Am I happy because I got a new phone? Am I nervous about my basketball game tonight? Do I feel guilty because I skipped 2nd period? Am I mad because I have to work today when it was supposed to be my day off? Am I sad because my grandmother is sick?

TIME MANAGEMENT STRESS

What is your stress level related to being in a hurry today?

For example: Do I have to go straight from school, to work, to home to study with no time in between to rest? Is school closed for a snow day and I get to sleep in? Do I have to get my brother to practice on time, but it’s across town during rush hour? Did I get a ride home from a friend instead of having to wait on the bus?

Physical STRESS

What is your stress level related to how your body feels today?

For example: Did I go to bed late last night and now I’m tired? Did I workout this morning and feel refreshed? Is my throat sore and I have chills? Do I have a bad sunburn from working outside yesterday? Did I eat well this morning and feel energized?
